About the Owners

Michael Jones, principal, is a mechanical engineer with years of experience working with wood.  The combination of computerized engineering drawings and wood working equipment teams well with his well-honed sense of design.  His wife, Pat, often does the initial designing, then team effort comes into play for the remainder of the designing and machining process.

Once the project has been carved, Pat takes over the finishing.  Wood tones and colored stains are used on the pieces to obtain depth and highlights.  Many steps are necessary to obtain the right “look” and especially the right “feel” of a smooth-as-satin finish – which is her goal.
